Marsham Street, City of Westminster
Private gardens and public realm streetscape incorporating elements of public art in the heart of the government quarter. The landscape proposals were developed in collaboration with the various artists to create a prestigious public realm offer, working in line with Westminster Public Realm Strategy guidelines to ensure a high quality paved streetscape. A mix of shade tolerant planting such as ivy and ferns was specified for the small elevated garden courtyards, under planted with bulbs to give seasonal colour. The large glass artworks on the building and large water pools afford beautiful displays of natural light and colour throughout the day, to further enliven the space.
